Descrizione

Le Corbusier, Furniture and Interiors 1905-1965, by A. Rüegg, Ed. Fondation Le Corbusier, 9-½ inches x 12 inches ( 24 cm x 31 cm ), hardcover book with 416 full color pages

This hardcover book of 416 color pages with over 850 illustrations presents the work of Le Corbusier (1887-1965).
Le Corbusier is also known worldwide for the furniture he designed. LC2 armchair comfort or lounger LC4 - both designed in 1928 in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand - are among the classics of modern furniture and are still produced today.
Many books have been published on the architectural achievements of Le Corbusier, and on emblematic furniture of the late 1920s, but what he imagined and created in the field of interior design has never been treated in its entirety.
This book fills this gap. Early testing retraces the evolution of Le Corbusier as an interior designer, from the early classicisants work to the minimal achievements of maturity through the famous manifestos of 1920 and 1930. The collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand is also analyzed in detail.
The inventory includes 370 references commenting with precision all the furniture and interior fittings due to this renowned creator.
