Chopard, passion for excellence, by S. Broussky, Ed. teNeues, 11-½ inches x 14 inches ( 29 cm x 35 cm ), hardcover book with 300 full color pages

This large hardcover book with 300 full color pages with great photography by Helmut Stelzenberger presents Chopard, the famous wristwatches house celebrating the one 150th anniversary of its founding.
The book describes the world and creations of Swiss jewellers and watchmakers Chopard.
The 150th anniversary of a brand is an opportunity to reflect on its history. That of Chopard began in 1860 when the young watchmaker Louis-Ulysse Chopard opened his own workshop in the Jura, transferred 60 years later to Geneva, where his son succeeded him. The third generation is experiencing difficulties and salvation will come in 1963 from the Scheufele family, from Germany and from jewelry. This second wind is the start of a success story.
In Meyrin and Fleurier, marvels were born which met with worldwide success, both in the world of sequins, as in Cannes, and among watch enthusiasts. These are sensitive to the three letters L.U.C. engraved on remarkable movements, the initials of the founder.

Contents:

  • Chopard-Scheufele: base its traditions
  • Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele: affinities
  • Sense of commitment

The French texts are written by Salomé Broussky.
